#UPDATING FIREFOX FOR WINDOWS 10 INSTALL#
Make sure the radio button next to the Automatically Install Updates option is selected. When the Options (Windows) or Preferences (Mac) tab opens, scroll down to the Firefox Updates section.
When it finishes downloading, you can click the Firefox Installer.exe to open and run the installation file. Click Download Now button to start downloading Firefox browser. Chromium and Firefox are two web browsers we know are coming to Windows 10 on ARM in the near future, which should improve performance in these browsers when using them on an ARM devices. On Windows, click Options On a Mac, click Preferences. Open your browser like Chrome or Microsoft Edge, and go to Firefox download page for Windows. Now that ARM support is being tested in the nightly branch for Firefox, it shouldn't be much longer before we see an official release of Firefox for Windows 10 on ARM. That being said, I have been using builds off automation (manually updating them) for several weeks now and have had a pleasant experience. Please note that these builds are even nightlier than our normal nightlies on other platforms: they have not gone through our usual automated testing process, bugs are almost certain to crop up, etc.

With this latest update, it seems like even our 'helper' app that's supposed to let Firefox automatically escalate privileges isn't even working to get the update out. Firefox Nightly is not intended to be used as a daily browser, and Mozilla says that this is especially the case with the ARM64 compiles of Firefox Nightly. It seems like every time there's a Firefox patch I have 100 or so users who need the update. You need to access Firefox’s secret advanced settings list and change the value of a single setting. As such, this isn't an official launch of Firefox for Windows 10 on ARM just yet, but users are welcome to download the latest nightly builds for the ARM64 architecture to give them a whirl and report and bugs that may arise during use.
